Secluded Beaches of Bali

Bali without a doubt has some of the best beaches in the world. Many of them are commercialized and crowded all year round. But there are some hidden beaches in Bali that are no less than gems. These pristine beaches are peaceful, away from all the noise and perfect to spend some private time.

Geger Sawangan Beach

The waves can get quite high at this beach, making it popular for surfers. Located near Sawangan village, Many beach-goers just prefer to admire the view while munching on snacks or sipping on a beer. This beach is also popular for seaweed cultivation and on request you can also help the farmers during the process.

You will find numerous camels since it is the mode of transportation on the beach. During the hour long camel ride from one end of the beach to the other, you will come across spas, shops and food stalls.

Gunung Payung Beach

Located on the Southern coast, this deserted paradise is usually empty, as walking hundreds of steps to reach the beach require much effort and many prefer not to. But once you’ve made it to the beach, every effort is worth it! A Balinese Hindu temple is situated on the cliff that visitors can witness before heading down to the beach. The white sand and crystal clear water make it perfect to enjoy the sunset and click some great pictures!

Padang Padang Beach

Also known as Pantai Labuan Sait, this is a skilled surfer’s paradise with waves that can be quite strong. Located at Jalan Labuan Sait at Pecatu Village, the Padang Padang beach is a quick 10-minute drive from the neighboring area of Uluwatu. The Beach became quite famous post the shoots for Michael Learns to Rock and the Julia Roberts starrer Eat, Pray and Love.

Walk down a flight of stairs and there you are to access this beautiful beach. Through it’s a narrow path down, you will find a number of shops, lodges and cafes . Ideal to pick some colorful sarongs and friendship bands.

The beach provides an escape from Bali’s more bustling areas with an excellent view of exotic white sands and soothing sound of the waves.

Nyang Nyang Beach

Located in Pecatu area, the Nyang Nyang Beach is one of Bali’s least visited beaches and ideal place for those looking to get away. The sunset here is breathtaking and is totally worth the 30 minute trek downhill. Once you reach the bottom of the stairs, you are greeted by a splendid sight: a fringed beach with fine sand, blue waters and a distant horizon. Considering the remoteness of the beach, some also set up tents and bonfires under the stars.

Bingin Beach

Located in the South of Bali, Bingin is quite a secluded beach as the effort required to discover the beach keeps large crowds at bay. This serene beach is amazing for experienced surfers.

It is 30 minutes away from the Denpasar airport and about 10 minutes away from Uluwatu Temple, one of the popular tourist attractions in Bali.

The best part about Bingin is the rocky terrain on which you can sit back to enjoy the exotic view of the beach.
